About aronscrusade
Arons Crusade is an original band from the inspirational town of Albany WA and now resides in Perth. They have come from different genres, musical groups and have brought together personal experiences to create a balance on their influences.
"Music should be explored, so we’re not really set to one genre. A diverse, electric mix of folk, roots and rock. Home grown and life inspired. An earthy pure sound with honest lyrics, unrestrained and free to express, songs for everyone."
In August 2009 the group were asked by Hollywood record company, 272 Records, to appear on the company’s annual album Acoustika Vol 18 with their track ‘Not For Miles’. The album will be aired throughout stations in the US including New York, California, Chicago and Boston and is available to purchase online through Arons Crusades myspace site.
With support from the Department of Culture and the Arts, Arons Crusade released their debut album Life.Love.Work.Dreams in April 2009. They are now working hard to tour its release and expose themselves more to the festival scene where they can grasp a wider audience and build their professional career by supporting and interacting with many more national/international artists.
In February 2008 the group released their sell out EP which they toured the North West with, resulting in return performances to venues by popular demand.
They became the proud winners of the Denmark Music Foundation’s Bursary competition in January 2008. This won them the right to open the Union of Soul Tour, headlining The John Butler Trio, The Waifs and Clare Bowditch and the Feeding Set and were presented with a $3,000 cheque to assist them with their music career.
In October 2007 Arons Crusade where announced nominees in the WAM Song of the Year Competition with their song “All These Lovers”. Out of 15,000 entrants, up to 200 in each category, Arons Crusade were one of the top 5 finalists in the ‘Love’ Category.
June 2007 saw Arons Crusade win the regional heat for The Next Big Thing in Albany. Prizes included recording time at Satellite Studios and track listing of their song 'Circle' on the 2007 Next Big Thing Compilation CD. They were inundated with complements and support and were able to build on their existing fan base at the semi finals in Perth.
Although they prefer to play as a 4 piece(with a rhythm section), often times call for their 3 piece get up(where Annabelle plays the kick drum backwards whilst standing up!), driving you through melodies that rock your baby to sleep - to rocking your soul!
